I've noticed while watching the movie that some cats are very close to each other. There are lots of adorable little scenes and things that show them together. So I've decided to make a page showing some of these scenes. :-D I know this section is called 'Romantical Cats' but I've expanded it to now have friendships and bonds, not just romantic couples. These are also all my opinions.

Alonzo and Cassandra

Alonzo and Cassandra are two of my very favorite characters, so it's appropriate that thery're together, eh? They are two mature adult cats, so I feel that their relationship is probrably a more serious one. They are only seen together a few times in the musical. One is during Grizabella, the Glamour Cat, when Cassandra is literally wrapped around Alonzo. Another is during the Jellicle Ball when the toms come out to dance with queens.

Growltiger and Griddlebone

They are such an adorable couple! They are hilarious to watch during performances. They are fictitious, however. Growltiger and Griddlebone are really Jellyorum and Gus dressed up as characters from Gus' past. Growltiger and Griddlebone are very in love. They sing a sweet operatic ballad to each other while Growltiger's crew is sleeping. Their realtionship, however, comes to a very tragic end when Growltiger is killed by the Siamese.

Munkustrap and Demeter

Munkustrap and Demeter seem to be a very serious couple. They are not seen together as often in the movie, but in other productions they are quite close. Demeter has a hard time trusting toms. There are two different theories I've heard. Either Demeter had a relationship with Macavity that went wrong, or else he kidnapped her and raped her. So she is very tense and scared now of all toms, and she's obviously the most frightened Jellicle when Macavity's around. In the video several times she can be seen avoiding toms and moving away from them. Munkustrap is the protector of the tribe, so she feels close to him. She knows he's safe and he will protect her. He won't hurt her like Macavity did.

The Rum Tum Tugger and Bombalurina

Bombalurina and the Tugger are two of the flirtiest Cats. They are forever teasing each other. Bombalurina is the seductress, and moct of the toms love her. Similarly, every queen and girl kitten are madly in love with Tugger. I don't ever really see Tugger and Bomby together in a real relationship. If they were together I don't think it would last long. They are too flirty and restless to stay with one kitty for very long.

Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer

Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer are two of the funniest and cutest cats in the whole show. I love to watch them. There are many different theories on their relationship, as well. Some people think they are mates, some think they are siblings, and some think that they are just partners in crime. Why do Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer have to be this OR this? Why can't they be both? I prefer to think they are mates as well as partners in crime. Just like your husband is your best friend. They look an awful lot alike, though...

Victoria and Plato

Victoria is the oldest female kitten. At the Jellicle Ball she and Plato become mates. They seem very shy around each other at first, but later in the show they are seen close together quite often. People always argue over this relationship, too. Some say she's with Mistoffelees, and some say with Plato. I believe her mate is Plato.

Victoria and Mistoffelees

As I said above, Plato and Victoria are mates. I think Mistoffelees is her brother, or her very close friend. Why wouldn't he have been with her at the Jellicle Ball if they were mates? Why wouldn't he have been jealous? Misto and Victoria can be seen sometimes together. She's not shy around him like she was around Plato in the begining.

Coricopat and Tantomile

Coricopat and Tantomile are twins. In the real kitty world it wouldn't matter and they could be mates anyway, but in the Jellicle world I just like to think of them having a very close brotherly-sisterly bond. They are very adorable together. I love them both because they are so mysterious. Coricopat and Tantomile are rarely seen apart, and they tend to move in sync.
